Babajide Alaka, Director of Sales, Marketing and Corporate Communications at Precise Financial Systems Ltd. (PFS), is a strategist and storyteller whose twenty-three-year career bridges editorial craft and digital growth. A content developer skilled in SEO, HTML, web design, and editing, he has consistently built and led teams that produce original, native content — whether for a newsroom or a corporate brand. What sets him apart is his temperament as much as his technical range: a strategic thinker who anticipates problems early and applies disciplined, creative solutions to see plans through to execution, an instinct also visible in his reflective LinkedIn essays on Nigeria, sport, and African identity.

His career began at Next Newspapers and Premium Times, Nigeria’s leading independent newspaper, where he held a rare dual mandate — improving digital user experience while upholding editorial standards in sports journalism. That hybrid, cross-functional approach shaped everything that followed.

In 2019, he joined PFS as Head of Digital Marketing Experience, later adding the Brand Manager role. Over the next seven years, as PFS expanded beyond Nigeria into new African markets, he spent five years as Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications before being promoted to Director of Sales, Marketing and Corporate Communications in 2026 — recognition of his sustained impact and expanding remit.

Today, he is driving PFS’s expansion across Africa and the Middle East, building on the successful Ugandan launch to establish branches in seven more African countries. The mandate draws on the same strategic foresight and perseverance that has defined his career — translating business plans into execution across markets with very different regulatory and competitive landscapes.

Outside the office, Babajide remains an active commentator, writing candidly on Nigerian society, African identity, and sport — a parallel body of work that reflects the same clarity and conviction he brings to his professional life.
